- You're ready to let Dokan vendors sell meetings
Some Dokan vendors sell their time rather than goods, such as a coaching call or a group class. GoodMeet lets them schedule those sessions as Google Meet meetings and sell seats from their Dokan store. You handle the admin setup first, then follow one vendor through the rest.
Each vendor gets a Google Meeting area in their Dokan dashboard. There they create and manage their own Google Meet meetings, and they can turn a meeting into a product that customers buy. In the screenshots, the example vendor is Priya Shah, who runs the Priya Wellness store on Brightpath Academy.
By the end of this guide, you will have:
- WooCommerce, Dokan, GoodMeet and GoodMeet Pro installed and activated
- Your Google account connected to GoodMeet
- The Dokan integration turned on
- A decision on whether vendors use your Google calendar or their own
- A vendor meeting linked to a product that customers can buy
Estimated setup time: 10 minutes. Vendors keep their store, products and orders exactly as they are.
Important: whose Google account do vendors use? It depends on one switch, Vendors use their own calendar, in GoodMeet > Settings > Meetings > Calendar.
- Off (default): vendors do not see any Google settings. Every vendor meeting is created with the Google account the administrator connected, and appears in that calendar.
- On: vendors get a Configure page under Google Meeting in their dashboard. Each vendor connects their own Google account there, and their meetings go to their own Google Calendar. Until a vendor connects, they cannot create meetings.
Note: Requires GoodMeet Pro. The Dokan and WooCommerce integrations are Pro features.
Before you begin #
Make sure you have:
- A WordPress site, such as Brightpath Academy at brightpath.example.com
- An administrator account, such as Emily Clark’s
- At least one approved Dokan vendor
- The Google account your site’s meetings should belong to
- A GoodMeet Pro license, for the Pro features in this guide
Let’s get started.
Step 1: Install WooCommerce and Dokan #
First, make sure WooCommerce and Dokan are installed and activated. WooCommerce handles the products and orders, and Dokan gives each vendor a store dashboard.
- In the WordPress admin menu, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Search for WooCommerce.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.

Next, install Dokan.
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin again.
- Search for Dokan.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 2: Install and activate GoodMeet and GoodMeet Pro #
GoodMeet creates the Google Meet links and calendar events. GoodMeet Pro adds the Dokan and WooCommerce integrations on top.
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Search for GoodMeet.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.

To use the Pro features in this guide, add GoodMeet Pro from inside GoodMeet. There is nothing to upload.
- In WordPress admin, open GoodMeet and click Upgrade, then complete the checkout.
- Go to GoodMeet > Account. Your license shows there, and GoodMeet offers to install GoodMeet Pro.
- Install GoodMeet Pro, then activate it. If GoodMeet shows Activate Pro, click it.
Note: If you already have a license, open GoodMeet > Account and install Pro from there. GoodMeet shows Download Pro when your license is active but Pro is not installed yet.
Step 3: Connect your Google account #
GoodMeet cannot create Meet links until it can reach a Google account. By default, every vendor meeting uses this account.
- Go to GoodMeet > Settings and click Connect.
- Upload the JSON file from your Google Cloud project.
- Click Continue to Google.
- Choose your Google account and allow calendar access.
Read our step-by-step Google setup guide for the full walkthrough.
Step 4: Turn on the Dokan integration #
GoodMeet adds the vendor area only while both its Dokan switch and the Dokan plugin are active. WooCommerce has its own switch too, and it powers the product link and the order email.
- Go to GoodMeet > Integrations.
- Check that the WooCommerce card reads Active. If not, turn its switch on.
- Scroll to the Marketplaces group and find the Dokan card.
- If the card shows Activate Dokan, click it to activate the plugin, then come back.
- Turn the Dokan switch on. The card then reads Active.

Step 5: Decide whose Google account vendors use #
One switch decides where vendor meetings land, so pick it before vendors start creating meetings. There are two modes:
- Vendors use the site’s Google account (default). Every vendor meeting goes into the Google Calendar you connected in Step 3. Vendors do no setup.
- Vendors use their own calendar. Each vendor connects their own Google account from a Configure page. Their meetings land in their own Google Calendar.
- Go to GoodMeet > Settings and click Meetings.
- In the Calendar group, leave Vendors use their own calendar off, or turn it on.
- Click Save changes.
The marketplace guide shows this switch with screenshots in its Step 5. Administrators always schedule with the site’s account, even if they also own a store.
Important: With the switch on, a vendor cannot create meetings until they connect their own Google account. Tell your vendors before you turn it on.
Now comes the vendor’s part. The next steps happen in the vendor’s Dokan dashboard.
Step 6: Open Google Meeting in the vendor dashboard #
GoodMeet adds a Google Meeting menu to the Dokan dashboard of every approved vendor.
- The vendor signs in and opens their Dokan dashboard.
- In the sidebar, they click Google Meeting.

The menu opens All Meetings. With Vendors use their own calendar on, it also shows Configure. If GoodMeet Classroom is on and the vendor can teach, a Live classes link appears too.
Step 7: Connect the vendor’s own Google account (Configure) #
Skip this step if Vendors use their own calendar is off.
While the vendor is not connected, All Meetings shows a Setup Required card titled Power your meetings with Google Calendar. The card has a Connect Google Account button.
- The vendor clicks Connect Google Account, or Google Meeting > Configure in the sidebar.
- On the Connect tab, they drop their Google Cloud JSON file under Google Cloud Credentials, or click Choose a file.

- In Google Cloud, the vendor adds the redirect URL shown on this screen as an authorized redirect URI.
- They click Continue to Google, pick their account and allow calendar access.
- Google sends them back to the same Configure page in their dashboard.
The redirect URL looks like this:
https://brightpath.example.com/?goodmeet_vendor_oauth=1
Your actual URL may look different. Always copy it from your own GoodMeet settings.
Tip: Where do I get this file? opens four short steps, and Open the Google Cloud console takes the vendor straight there. The steps match How to connect your Google account to GoodMeet.
The Configurations tab holds the vendor’s own meeting preferences, such as time zone and reminders.
Step 8: Create a meeting as the vendor #
Each product sells a seat in one meeting, so the vendor creates the meeting first.
- In Google Meeting > All Meetings, the vendor clicks Create New Meeting. Once they have meetings, the button reads Add new.

- On Add New Meeting, they fill in Meeting name and Meeting summary on Name and agenda.
- They click Next to set Date and time, Access and controls and Page design, or skip ahead.
- They click Create meeting.

If the vendor sees Connect your Google account to create this meeting., they have not finished Step 7.
Step 9: See the meeting in All Meetings #
After Create meeting, GoodMeet sends the vendor back to All Meetings, where the new meeting is listed under Upcoming.

Step 10: Add a product and choose the meeting #
Linking a product to a meeting is what turns a sale into a seat.
- In the Dokan sidebar, the vendor clicks Products, then adds a new product.
- On Add New Product, they enter the product name and Price.

- They tick Select meeting as product.
- In Choose Meeting, they pick the meeting, for example Mindful Mornings: Group Session.
- They click Create Product.

Step 11: Let GoodMeet mark the product as virtual #
A meeting has nothing to ship, so a meeting product must be Virtual. The vendor does not need to do anything for this. When Select meeting as product is ticked and a meeting is chosen, GoodMeet marks the product Virtual as it saves. This works from the quick Add New Product form, which has no Virtual checkbox, and from the full Edit Product screen.
To change the meeting later, the vendor opens the product from Products to reach Edit Product.

- Below the price, they find Select meeting as product and pick a meeting in Choose Meeting.
- They click Update Product.
Step 12: Check the result #
Open the product in a private browser window to see it the way a customer does. Customers buy the meeting like any other product, with the price and an Add to cart button. A Meeting Details tab lists the meeting title, start time and time zone.
GoodMeet takes over once the order goes through:
- A customer can buy one seat per meeting product.
- When the order is Completed, GoodMeet adds the buyer’s billing email as a guest on the Google Calendar event.
- The order email includes Your Meeting Information, with the start time, the meeting page and a Join Google Meet link.

Benefits of using GoodMeet with Dokan #
- Next to Products and Orders: Google Meeting sits in the Dokan sidebar, so vendors manage meetings where they run the rest of their store.
- No shipping step: GoodMeet marks meeting products Virtual on save, so the order skips shipping and goes straight to the meeting details.
- Buyers get the invite: a completed order adds the buyer as a guest on the Google Calendar event. The order email carries the Join Google Meet link.
- Dokan payouts stay the same: meeting products are normal WooCommerce products, so Dokan pays vendors as usual.
Troubleshooting #
Vendors do not see a Google Meeting menu #
GoodMeet adds the menu only while the Dokan integration and the Dokan plugin are both active.
Check that:
- The Dokan card is on in GoodMeet > Integrations.
- Dokan is active. If its card shows Activate Dokan, click it.
- The user is an approved Dokan vendor.
Saving a product shows “Choose Meeting: This field is required.” #
Select meeting as product is ticked but no meeting is chosen.
Check that:
- The vendor has at least one meeting in Google Meeting > All Meetings.
- A meeting is picked in Choose Meeting before saving.
Vendors see Configure but you want one shared calendar #
Vendors use their own calendar is on.
- Go to GoodMeet > Settings > Meetings.
- In the Calendar group, turn Vendors use their own calendar off.
- Click Save changes. The Configure item disappears and every meeting uses the site’s account.
The vendor sees “Connect your Google account to create this meeting.” #
Vendors use their own calendar is on and the vendor has not connected Google yet. Ask the vendor to open Configure and finish Step 7.
Google sends the vendor back without connecting #
The redirect URL in the vendor’s Google Cloud client does not match, or the JSON file is not a Web application client.
Check that:
- The redirect URL was copied from the vendor’s Configure page into Google Cloud.
- It was added under Authorized redirect URIs.
- The JSON file belongs to a Web application client.
The customer did not get the meeting link #
GoodMeet adds the buyer and sends the details only when the order status is Completed.
Check that:
- The order is Completed in WooCommerce > Orders.
- The product has a meeting linked in Choose Meeting.
Frequently asked questions #
Do vendors need a Google Cloud project? #
No, not by default. Only when Vendors use their own calendar is on does each vendor upload their own OAuth client file.
Can a vendor see other vendors’ meetings? #
No. Each vendor sees and edits only the meetings they created.
Why must a meeting product be virtual? #
A meeting has nothing to ship. GoodMeet sets Virtual on the product when the vendor links a meeting, so the order skips shipping and goes straight to the meeting details.
Can a customer buy two seats in one order? #
No. A meeting product is limited to one per cart. Each attendee buys their own seat.
Does a vendor who is also an administrator use their own calendar? #
No. Administrators always schedule with the site’s Google account.
Security best practices #
- Turn on Vendors use their own calendar only if vendors need their meetings under their own name. One site account is easier to manage.
- Ask vendors to create their own Google Cloud client. Never share your site’s JSON file with a vendor.
- Approve vendors before they can sell, so only trusted people create meetings that customers pay for.
- When a vendor leaves, ask them to disconnect Google from Configure, then remove their vendor access.
- Keep WordPress, WooCommerce, Dokan and GoodMeet up to date.
You’re ready to let Dokan vendors sell meetings #
Priya Shah and your other Dokan vendors can now create meetings from the Dokan sidebar and sell a seat as a virtual product. Next, see how the other marketplaces and WooCommerce selling work.
