# How to let Dokan vendors sell Zoom meetings with ZooMeet

If your Dokan vendors sell their time, such as a coaching call or a group class, you're in the right place. This guide shows you how to let them schedule those sessions as Zoom meetings and sell seats from their Dokan store, step by step.

Each vendor gets a **Zoom Events** menu in their Dokan dashboard. There they create and manage their own Zoom meetings, and on the Dokan product form they turn a meeting into a product that customers buy.

By the end of this guide, you will have:

- WooCommerce, Dokan, ZooMeet and ZooMeet Pro working together
- Your Zoom account connected to ZooMeet
- The Dokan integration turned on
- A vendor meeting created from the Dokan dashboard
- A Dokan product that sells a seat in that meeting

**Estimated setup time:** 10 minutes. Vendors keep their store, products and orders exactly as they are.

**Note:** Requires ZooMeet Pro and WooCommerce.

## Before you begin

Make sure you have:

- An administrator account on your WordPress site, such as Emily Clark's
- At least one approved Dokan vendor with selling enabled
- A Zoom account you can connect to ZooMeet
- A ZooMeet Pro license

Let's get started.

## Step 1: Install WooCommerce and Dokan

First, make sure WooCommerce and Dokan are installed and activated. WooCommerce handles the products and orders, and Dokan gives each vendor a store dashboard.

1. In the WordPress admin menu, go to **Plugins** > **Add New Plugin**.
2. Search for **WooCommerce**.
3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.

WooCommerce runs the products, cart and orders that vendors sell meetings through.

Next, install Dokan.

1. Go to **Plugins** > **Add New Plugin** again.
2. Search for **Dokan**.
3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.

Dokan turns your WooCommerce store into a marketplace with a dashboard for every vendor.

## Step 2: Install and activate ZooMeet

ZooMeet creates the Zoom meetings. ZooMeet Pro adds the Dokan and WooCommerce integrations on top.

1. Go to **Plugins** > **Add New Plugin**.
2. Search for **ZooMeet**.
3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.

Install the free ZooMeet plugin first. ZooMeet Pro builds on it.

To use the Pro features in this guide, add ZooMeet Pro from inside ZooMeet. There is nothing to upload.

1. In WordPress admin, open **ZooMeet** and click **Upgrade**, then complete the checkout.
2. Go to **ZooMeet** > **Account**. Your license shows there, and ZooMeet offers to install ZooMeet Pro.
3. Install ZooMeet Pro, then activate it.

## Step 3: Connect your Zoom account

Vendor meetings are created on the Zoom account you connect here. If you already did this, skip to Step 4.

1. Go to **ZooMeet** > **Settings** and click **Connect**.
2. Paste the **Account ID**, **Client ID** and **Client Secret** from your Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth app.
3. Save the settings and check that the connection succeeds.

Read our [step-by-step Zoom setup guide](https://sovlix.com/docs/connect-zoom-with-zoomeet/) for the full walkthrough.

## Step 4: Turn on the Dokan integration

ZooMeet adds the vendor menu only while both its Dokan switch and the Dokan plugin are active. The **WooCommerce** switch must be on too, because it powers the **Event Details** tab and the order email.

1. Go to **ZooMeet** > **Integrations**.
2. In **Categories**, click **eCommerce** and check that the **WooCommerce** card reads **Active**.
3. Click **Marketplaces** and find the **Dokan** card.
4. If the card shows **Activate Dokan**, click it to activate the plugin, then come back.
5. Switch the **Dokan** toggle on. The card shows **Active**.

The toggle saves on its own. Keep Vendors use their own account off in ZooMeet > Settings > Events, so vendor meetings run on your Zoom account.

Now comes the vendor's part. The next steps happen in the vendor's Dokan dashboard.

## Step 5: Open Zoom Events in the Dokan dashboard

ZooMeet adds a **Zoom Events** menu to the Dokan dashboard of every vendor.

1. The vendor signs in and opens their Dokan dashboard.
2. In the sidebar, they click **Zoom Events**. The menu opens with **All Events** and **Configure**.
3. They click **All Events**.

Zoom Events sits in the Dokan sidebar next to Products, Orders and Withdraw.

**All Events** opens the same meeting list and step-by-step form you use in WordPress admin. Vendors see and edit only their own meetings.

## Step 6: Create a meeting as the vendor

Each product sells a seat in one meeting, so the vendor creates the meeting first.

1. In **Zoom Events** > **All Events**, the vendor clicks **Create new event**. Once they have events, the button reads **Add new event**.
2. On **Name and type**, they enter the **Meeting name** and an **Agenda**.
3. They set **Date and time**, and optionally **Access and controls** and **Page design**.
4. They click **Create meeting**.

**Tip:** For a paid session, turn on **Registration required** in **Access and controls**, so buyers who checked out as guests sign in on the meeting page. Once a product sells the meeting, only buyers get the join details either way. See [How to sell Zoom meetings with WooCommerce](https://sovlix.com/docs/zoomeet-sell-zoom-meetings-woocommerce/#step-5-ask-visitors-to-sign-in-access-and-controls).

## Step 7: Add a product and choose the meeting

Linking a product to a meeting is what turns a sale into a seat. ZooMeet adds its fields to Dokan's own product form.

1. In the Dokan sidebar, the vendor clicks **Products**, then adds a new product.
2. They enter the product name and price, and tick **Virtual**, since a meeting has nothing to ship.
3. Below the tags, they tick **Sell a Zoom event with this product**.
4. In **Choose event**, they pick their meeting. The list starts on **Select a meeting or webinar**, groups the vendor's own events under **Meetings** and **Webinars**, and shows nobody else's.
5. They save the product. The meeting is now linked, and its page shows a **Buy now** button.

To change the meeting later, the vendor opens the product from **Products**. On **Edit Product**, **Sell a Zoom event with this product** and **Choose event** sit below the price. They click **Update Product** to save. Choosing another meeting unlinks the old one, and unticking **Sell a Zoom event with this product** unlinks the meeting.

**Important:** With **Sell a Zoom event with this product** ticked, Dokan refuses to save until the product is virtual and has a meeting. The messages read **Virtual: This field is required.** and **Choose event: pick a meeting or webinar.**

## Step 8: See it on the product page

Open the product in a private browser window to check it the way a customer does. Customers buy the meeting like any other product, with the price and an **Add to cart** button. An **Event Details** tab lists the **Event Title**, **Start Time** and **Time zone**.

ZooMeet takes over once the order goes through:

- A customer can buy one seat per meeting product.
- When the order is **Completed**, ZooMeet adds the buyer's billing email to the meeting's list of attendees.
- The completed order email includes **Your Event Information**, with the sign-in details and a **Join Event** link.
- In **My Account**, the buyer finds the meeting under **Zoom Events**.

## Benefits of using ZooMeet with Dokan

- **Next to Products and Orders:** **Zoom Events** sits in the Dokan sidebar, so vendors manage meetings where they run the rest of their store.
- **No half-linked products:** Dokan will not save a meeting product until it is virtual and has a meeting.
- **No Zoom setup for vendors:** every vendor meeting runs on the Zoom account you connected.
- **Dokan payouts stay the same:** meeting products are normal WooCommerce products, so Dokan pays vendors as usual.

Your vendors schedule and sell live sessions without leaving their Dokan dashboard.

## Troubleshooting

### Vendors do not see a Zoom Events menu

ZooMeet adds the menu only while the Dokan integration and the Dokan plugin are both active.

Check that:

- The **Dokan** card is on in **ZooMeet** > **Integrations** > **Marketplaces**.
- Dokan is active. If its card shows **Activate Dokan**, click it.
- The user is a Dokan vendor with selling enabled.

### Saving a product shows "Choose event: pick a meeting or webinar."

**Sell a Zoom event with this product** is ticked but no meeting or webinar is chosen.

1. The vendor creates a meeting in **Zoom Events** > **All Events** if the list is empty.
2. They pick it in **Choose event** and save again.

### Saving a product shows "Virtual: This field is required."

The product is not marked as virtual. Tick **Virtual** and save again.

### Configure says "Settings could not be loaded"

**Configure** opens ZooMeet's settings screen, which only administrators can load. Vendors do not need it: their meetings use your Zoom account and your default settings.

### Dokan dashboard pages open the wrong screen

Another marketplace plugin, such as MultiVendorX, is also active and uses the same dashboard addresses. Run one marketplace plugin at a time.

### The customer did not get the meeting details

ZooMeet adds the buyer and adds the details to the email only when the order status is **Completed**.

Check that:

- The order is **Completed** in **WooCommerce** > **Orders**.
- The product has **Sell a Zoom event with this product** ticked and a meeting chosen.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do vendors need their own Zoom account?

**No.** With **Vendors use their own account** off in **ZooMeet** > **Settings** > **Events**, every vendor meeting is created on your connected Zoom account.

### Can a vendor see other vendors' meetings in All Events?

**No.** Each vendor sees and edits only the meetings they created.

### Why must a meeting product be virtual?

A meeting has nothing to ship. Marking it virtual lets the order skip shipping, and Dokan will not save a meeting product without it.

### Can a customer buy two seats in one order?

**No.** A meeting product is locked to one per order. Each attendee buys their own seat.

## Security best practices

- Approve vendors before they can sell, so only trusted people create meetings that customers pay for.
- Ask vendors to turn on **Registration required** for paid meetings, so guest buyers can sign in on the meeting page.
- **Choose event** lists only the vendor's own meetings and webinars, so a vendor cannot sell someone else's session.
- Keep WordPress, WooCommerce, Dokan and ZooMeet up to date.

## You're ready to let Dokan vendors sell meetings

Your Dokan vendors can now create Zoom meetings from their dashboard and sell a seat in each one as a virtual product. A completed order adds the buyer to the meeting and emails their details. Next, see how the other marketplaces and WooCommerce selling work.
